New ZealandI discovered this coffee place through a website but I really got to know it with my ex-new-roommate. I am really sad for me she had to leave for Europe but I am happy for her because I know what it means to move at the other side of the world.
To get back at the coffee place, Lamason is the most amazing coffee place I have seen so far. Not because of the decoration or not because of the baristas. But because of the coffee they make. They make art with coffee.
Of course you will be able to have a flat white if it is what you want but they offer other ways to make coffee. You can get a coffee out of a Siphon or out of a woodneck. You can choose your coffee too out of four of five choices.
Not only it is really nice to see the coffee being made because it is right in front of your eyes on the bar, but it also give the coffee other flavours that are more subtile than regular coffee. Drinking coffee becomes like drinking wine.
Another thing I like about Lamason is first the baristas that are really nice. And then the coffee shop had incredible light that inspired me. It looks magical when the sun light hits through the window. I really like go there work on my laptop or read a book or just clear my ideas.
Last thing, but not least, it is very well located in Wellington, just next to the main street but a bit aside.
So good coffee, nice barista, nice light. What are you waiting for?
