I have never been away for that long before. I have gone places for a while, six months tops without coming back to France. This time, it was the longest trip I have ever taken.
Ok, let\’s talk about summer. 2014 was the first summer I ever spent in Canada. The two other times I had been in Montréal, I arrived at the end of August and Summer was almost already gone. This time, I arrived mid-May, just when snow stopped falling (Yes, it snowed in Montréal at the begging of May 2014!), and summer was coming.
This is the best summer I have ever spent in my life. Between a big city and a small one, there is ALWAYS something to do in Montréal during summer! Always a festival or an activity to do. Sometimes, you will find yourself with several things at the same time.
I was surprised though because I thought it was always sunny in Canada during summer but that is not true. Actually, in MTL, it\’s raining quite a lot in summer and I wasn\’t prepared for that!
I can\’t say enough how much I love Montréal but this is a quick overview of the summer you can have.

I went once in 2009 for 6 months and as soon as I went home I wanted to leave again.
My first step in Québec was feeling as the first step on the \”New World\”. I was Jacques Cartier in 1854. I was eager to see and experience new things. I had been living in Paris for two years before and the city had started to suffocate me. It felt liberating to be in Montréal. I loved everything about it. The ordered and large streets, the Québéquers who were so nice to me, the crazy buildings, the school I was enrolled in (Concordia University).

I have heard a lot of things about Ottawa, as well as I heard some about Toronto before moving there. A lot of people say that one day in Ottawa is enough. But how can it be enough? It is the Capital of Canada. It contains a lot of history and even in winter, you can find something to do.
